Ingredients
3 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless (about 1.5 pounds)
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prep the chicken
Pat the chicken breasts completely dry using paper towels. This helps the outside get a nice texture instead of steaming. - Season well
Rub the chicken with vegetable oil, making sure each piece is lightly coated.
Mix all the seasonings together (salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder), then rub them evenly over the chicken.
For deeper flavor, you can place everything in a zip-top bag and shake until fully coated.
Let the chicken rest for at least 15 minutes, or refrigerate overnight for stronger flavor. - Preheat and arrange
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if your model requires it.
Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the basket—do not overlap. - Air fry
Cook for 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway through if your air fryer cooks unevenly.
The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part. - Rest before serving
Remove the chicken and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Tips for Best Results
If your chicken breasts are very thick, pound them slightly for even cooking.
Don’t skip resting time—it keeps the chicken juicy.
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a small knob of butter after cooking.
