This Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Creamy Chicken Wild Rice Soup is the perfect cozy meal for busy days. It’s creamy, hearty, comforting, and requires just four simple ingredients. Let your slow cooker do the work while you enjoy a warm bowl of homemade comfort food.
Ingredients
1½ lbs (680 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup uncooked wild rice blend
2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
Add the uncooked wild rice blend.
Pour in the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth. Stir gently to combine.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and the rice is tender.
Carefully remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir well.
Cook for another 10–15 minutes to allow everything to heat through and become creamy.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Serving Suggestion
Serve this creamy soup warm with crusty bread, crackers, or a simple green salad for a comforting dinner.
Recipe Tips
Use a wild rice blend rather than plain white rice for the best texture.
If the soup becomes too thick, add a little extra chicken broth.
Let the soup rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors and texture to settle.
