1 pie crust

1 cup sugar

2 cups milk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla

Bake the pie crust and let it cool completely.
In a saucepan, cook flour, cocoa, and sugar with milk, egg yolks, vanilla, and butter over medium heat until thick and smooth.
Pour the chocolate filling into the baked crust.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form, then gradually add sugar.
Spread the meringue over the chocolate filling.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes or until the top is golden.
Let it cool, then refrigerate before serving.
