🧾 Ingredients
Apple mixture
- 2 apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Bread batter
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar

- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup milk
Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–3 tbsp milk or cream

- Preheat oven
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Prepare apples 🍏
- Mix chopped apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Set aside.
- Make cinnamon sugar
- Mix 1/3 cup brown sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Prepare batter
- Cream butter and white sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Add vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients
- Mix flour + baking powder together.
- Add to batter alternately with milk until smooth.
- Layer the bread 🥧
- Pour half the batter into the pan.
- Add half the apples and half the cinnamon sugar.
- Lightly swirl with a knife.
- Add remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar.
- Bake
- Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

- Let bread cool about 15 minutes, then remove from pan.
