🛒 Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
6 large eggs
½ cup heavy cream (or whole milk)
1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 egg (for egg wash)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut it into 6 equal circles or squares.
Fold the edges inward slightly to create a small rim around each pastry.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Sprinkle a little cheddar cheese onto each pastry.
Spoon the egg mixture into the center of each pastry, leaving the raised edges uncovered.
Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and chopped crispy bacon.
Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the egg filling is set.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
💡 Tips
Add diced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
Swap cheddar for mozzarella, Swiss, or pepper jack cheese.
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.
