Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs (680g) flank steak, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 cup (60ml) Teriyaki sauce
2 tbsp (30g) soy sauce
1 tbsp (15g) olive oil
1 tbsp (15g) brown sugar
1 tsp (5g) garlic powder
1/2 tsp (2g) ground black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Slice the flank steak into thin strips and place it in the Crockpot. Add the sliced red, green, and yellow bell peppers, as well as the onion slices.
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the Teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Cook:
Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables in the Crockpot. Stir everything to ensure the steak and veggies are evenly coated in the sauce.
Slow Cook:
Set your Crockpot to cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the steak is tender and the flavors are well combined.
Serve:
Once the dish is done, taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed. Serve the pepper steak over steamed rice, noodles, or with a side of fresh bread.
Tips:
If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can remove the steak and vegetables once cooked, then transfer the sauce to a small saucepan. Simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes to thicken.
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
This dish pairs perfectly with steamed jasmine rice or mashed potatoes.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve this Crockpot Pepper Steak with a side of crispy spring rolls or a light green salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
